So your company is thinking about using Microsoft Teams’ phone system for your PBX, maybe you’re looking to replace an old antiquated PBX and you like Teams, you’re using Teams law and you think, “Hey, that might be great for our phone system.”

But how do you make that transition over to Teams without any pain? How do you do it without any downtime or a ton of time spent in head-scratching from your IT department?

My recommendation first and foremost is to get your calling plan for Microsoft Teams’ phone system through a third party, hosted VoIP provider who offer direct routing as a service.

Installing Microsoft Teams Phone System without Pain

So what this is, is roughly for the same price you’d pay Microsoft direct for your calling plan, standard pricing is $12 per user per month for their 3000 minutes per month per user-plan. Or they have a meter plan as well. So roughly for that price, for the same exact price, you can buy the calling plan from one of these third parties who offer direct routing as a service. And the big benefit is that all of your customer service goes through them and they offer live 24/7 unlimited customer service. And we all know Microsoft direct will not offer you that. And that’s a big deal with your phone system.

That’s really going to help you make that transition pain-free because number one, that company’s going to reach out to you and give you a demo of Microsoft Teams phone system. They do this all the time. You won’t get a demo from Microsoft direct, but you’ll get a demo from them.

They’ll show you… They’ll ask you a bunch of questions. They’ll let you ask questions for them. They’ll talk about the implementation upfront. They’ll come up with a plan. They’ll tell you how they will execute it. They’ll bring up possible glitches based on what your company’s requirements are. They’ll tell you what the hurdles are going to be.

And we all know great preparation is the best way to prevent problems, right?

So, using a company that has great customer service and a lot of hands-on customer service ahead of time before the installation is going to help you prepare, which is going to help you avoid the pain of that transition.

Also, if your company is a large company, like most companies are moving to Teams, and you want to do it in a phased approach. You want to install certain amounts of users at a time and not do everything at once. Well, you’re going to have a lot better luck working with a company with great customer service than you are at Microsoft direct in terms of a phased approach. You want a lot of hand-holding in a phased-approach. So again, another reason why you want to use them.

Then after the installation’s all done, during the installation, you’re going to get a Project Manager, everything’s going to be great.

But then even after the installation, you’re going to get live 24/7 customer service.

So I hope I’m making my point pretty clear. If you want a pain-free transition from your old phone system to Microsoft Teams’ phone system, the best way to do it is to get your calling plan from one of these third providers and do direct routing as a service.

Now, which of these companies should you use? Call me at 714-593.0011, or shoot me an email. I’ll ask you a bunch of questions. I’ll give you the exact companies I recommend and tell you why. And we won’t charge you a dime for giving you recommendations. So absolutely call me. Don’t hesitate, I’m happy to help. There’s no reason you need to research all this stuff on your own. There’s no way you’ll do it thoroughly. You just don’t have the information. So call me. There’s no excuse. We won’t charge you. I’ll give you the companies that I recommend. Tell you why, and I’ll introduce you to the right people.

I hope that helps. Have a great day.
