Okay, I know this has happened to you.

You’re on a conference call, especially in the last year or so and it’s around 4:30 and you just realized, “Oh, I have to run because I have to pick up my daughter from dance class,” or, “I have to jump out of the office to run to another meeting.”

Well, the problem is, you don’t want to have to drop off the call and then call back in and have to explain yourself. Maybe they won’t let you back in the call because they don’t know who you are because you’re calling from your cell phone or anything like that.

It’s a big pain. Right?

A Secret Feature Can Help

Well, there’s a great feature with a lot of cloud PBX service providers called “call flip” or “call pull” (is another name for it), that will allow you to, when you’re on a phone call, simply flip the call from your desk phone or your cell phone over to your mobile app on your mobile phone.

So, without anybody on the other end even knowing it happened, you can just flip the call from one device to another, and then you’re out of the office and you can walk away. So it’s a great little feature a lot of people don’t know about.

But if it sounds interesting to you, make sure you put it on your list of must-have features when you’re shopping for a cloud PBX solution.

The one thing though you want to ask about as you’re doing the demos with these providers is, “When I flip the call to my mobile app, now that call’s on my mobile app, but if I walk out of the office and my mobile app is using wifi, what happens to the call when I drop off the wifi?” That’s something I had to kind of learn the hard way. So just a little tip there.
