If your company is in the market for a new phone system, and you’re a mid-sized company, what I like to do is make a video once in a while, talking about the different features you might want to think about.

Because a lot of times when I talk to businesses, IT departments, and I ask, “What features are important to you?” They say, “Hey, our phone system is 20 years old. We don’t really know what’s out there that we should be asking for.”

So, I like to make videos on features that you might want to be asking for, and this is one of them.

The problem

All right. Well, think about this. I know this has happened to you. You’re driving in your car, and you’re talking to somebody over the phone about business stuff. And they’re mentioning things; they’re saying, “Hey, can you remember to do this?” Or “Here’s my phone number. Here’s my email.”

And you’re kind of going, “Okay,” and you’re hoping you remember it…

Or they’re giving you some details that you hope you remember, but you’re driving. So, you can’t write anything down. And you know you’re probably not going to remember it, and you just kind of chalk it up: “Oh, well, I hope I remember it, but if not, maybe I’ll call them back.”

Imagine if you never had to worry in that moment. Imagine if that call was being transcribed.

The Solution

And so, all you had to do when you got back to the office was to go to the transcription, type in a couple of key words to search for that part of the call, and get that information right there. Wouldn’t that be useful?

What about also… So, ask your sales managers or some of your marketing people. Do they ever want to know what people are talking about on the phone?

Or maybe want to know how often a certain term is mentioned, maybe a competitor’s name.

And all they had to do was go to the search function, and they could search all the transcripts for all the employees and have access to that information, so they wouldn’t have to try to listen in or search for things like that.

Wouldn’t that be pretty useful? I think it definitely would.

So, if that’s something that you think will be useful to your company, there are cloud PBX vendors out there that offer that, and they call it live transcription.

But which vendors offer it?

And which are the best that you should be quoting? Well, don’t Google it all day long, that’s actually where I come in. If you have those types of questions, you want my recommendations, just shoot me an email, give me a call (714.593.0011). I’m happy to help. Don’t Google it for hours, you’ll probably end up with the wrong vendors. You don’t know their reputations, and you’re asking them for quotes, and your company might end up using the wrong vendor.

Well, my company represents all the major cloud PBX vendors, and that’s where I can help you out. The nice thing is all these vendors pay our company, our broker fee. We’re a broker for all of them, and they pay us. So, that means your company doesn’t even have to pay us. So, there’s really no excuse for you not to reach out and ask for some help.

I hope that video helped a little bit. If so, don’t forget to hit the like button down below, and I will catch you on the next video.
