I know from personal experience, one of the hardest things about hiring new employees is trying to get them up-to-speed, right away within like two weeks.

There’s just so much for them to learn.

Like, for instance, they don’t even know where the refrigerator is for the company, let alone all the little intricacies of our products and things like that. When it comes to something like how to use the phone system? That always ends up taking a backseat. I know we’re no different than any other company and, as a result, the problem is new employees never really get to know the features and functionalities to the full extent that the phone system can do, to really help them work more efficiently.

The cool thing is as a lot of these new cloud phone systems come out, a lot of the service providers (or I should say some of the service providers), out there are offering free unlimited live training for the life of your account with them.

For instance, if you hire on a new employee a year after you’ve signed up with this cloud phone system company, some of the service providers will notice that a new user has been activated on your system, and they’ll actually (proactively) call that person directly and schedule the time to walk them through the phone system and features and functionality of a phone system.

What’s great about that is it takes the time off your plate as the IT administrator or the Operations Manager of the company to where you don’t have to train that employee, that the service provider is investing in that personnel, so that employee gets to know all the features and functionality of the phone system on a one-on-one basis and you didn’t have to spend any time doing it.

It’s absolutely a must if you’re choosing a new phone system and you have a pretty decent sized company and a lot of employees are coming and going all the time, it really makes a lot of sense to find a hosted phone system provider who provides free unlimited live one on one training.
