On this episode you’ll hear the story of Paul Edmisten, CIO of Tivity Health, and finalist for the 2020 CIO of the year Orbie awards, from Arizona CIO.
Some people work hard because they enjoy the journey. Some people work hard because they like the result.
Paul Edmisten likes the result. He likes to win. Maybe it was from growing up as the “younger brother” or maybe it was just the way he was born, but either way, it’s been a key element in his success as an IT professional.
That drive to win has also put Paul into a lot of learning moments. Like taking a pivotal job from Disney that taught him how to think transformationally. Or, like learning the value of building relationships. Or, like being let go as the CIO of a large company and having to pick himself up again.
As you can hear, Paul has a great story of his journey in life and IT, with a lot of good take-aways, that we can all benefit from.
