Does Teams have SMS & MMS?

All righty. Does teams have the ability to send or receive text messages from your business phone numbers? As I already mentioned, it does not teams phone system as of the day I’m making this video does not have that ability. They say it’s been on the roadmap. You know, they’ve been saying that since 2018 when they rolled out teams. It’s 2023. It’s still on the roadmap. You’re not able to do that with teams phone system. But there’s a workaround. If you use an operator connect service provider or a direct routing. As a service service provider, they might have the ability to add SMS and MMS

Text and call from the same business phone

text messaging into teams phones so that within the teams app you can use your business number to send and receive text messages, which is awesome, right? So that your employees right now, if they’re sending receiving text messages on their personal cell phone and then calls on their business number, they’re probably like, Hey, sometimes I text the customer or vendor and then they call me back on my cell phone, but I want them to call me back on my business number. So it’s terrible, right? Well, that can all stop and they can do it through teams phone. But you have to use someone other than Microsoft for the calling plan in order to do it. And it has to be a provider that allows that.
