RingCentral has been the leader for cloud business phone systems since, well, a long time, right? Pretty much since cloud business phone systems started to really take off. RingCentral has been the market leader in that space. But are they still the market leader here in 2025? Well, my name is Mike Smith. I’m the president of Vero. Come, let’s put our heads together on this.

My Recommendations

But first, if you’d like to really look at RingCentral for your company and your mid or large size company, meaning you have hundreds or thousands of employees. That’s actually my sweet spot. Don’t call RingCentral directly. reach out, send me an email or give me a call (714.593.0011). I’m a broker for all the major business cloud phone system vendors out there, including RingCentral. I can make sure that you’re quoting the right vendors, that you’re talking to the right sales reps at each vendor. I’ll make sure that you get the best demo with RingCentral or their competitors, and I’ll make sure you’re getting the best pricing from RingCentral and their competitors. Again, I will help your company make a lot better decision in a fraction of the time, and it won’t cost your company anything to use me for my advice. RingCentral is a good fit, if:

As I always like to do, I like to put out in the very beginning the video, the really heart and meat of the topic. So what’s the best fit for RingCentral?

Well, number one, if your company needs a little bit more advanced call features, like you definitely want to get SMSs, you definitely want to have some maybe some call recording. You definitely want some call reporting or analytics like historical call reports. That’s number one.

Number two, RingCentral is also a great fit. If your company has a small call center.

Unique Advantages

And number three, if your company really could benefit from some of the unique advantages that RingCentral brings to the table, like number one, their teams phone dialer plug in, they really have the best dialer plug in in the industry or maybe you’re interested in a call center features like your company has that small call center and you want concurrent call center licensing. What that means is that you only pay for call center users that are in queue at the same time as opposed to having to pay for every single user that might have to use the call center might become a call center agent. At any point in time, you only have to pay for a concurrent call center licensing or your company has a lot of global sites. RingCentral has a great global reach. Or maybe your company wants to also send out mass SMS text messages or emails like a marketing platform where you can broadcast your current customers like, Hey, your bill is due, or hey, you know, to your employees, Hey, there’s an emergency, do this. Either SMS or email, maybe using another platform and you want to consolidate that into your same phone system platform. RingCentral has that. And lastly, the walkie talkie function that RingCentral has, because RingCentral is one of the only providers that offers that. So that’s a feature that’s interesting to you that might make RingCentral a great fit for your company.

My Ratings for RingCentral

Now what I’m going to do is I’m going to walk you through my rating for RingCentral. Again, my rating is subjective. Obviously, this is the way I view RingCentral, but I view them as an 8.7 out of ten, and I have this ten point rating scale that I do that you’re going to see me do for other service providers in the industry as well. But I’m going to kind of go through this. And this doesn’t mean that if I grade one of these things poorly for RingCentral, this doesn’t mean that they’re bad provider because it means is that item important to you? If that item is really important to you and I give them a poor grade, maybe you want to look into it a little bit more, maybe want to call me and talk about it. But if that item is not of interest to your business, you have no need for that. Then obviously take what I say with a grain of salt because it doesn’t really matter to you right? So I’m going to go through these different items and we’re going to tell you what I rated them on each one.

RingCentral Phone Review & Ratings 2025

Service Quality & Reliability & Customer Service

The first and most important for any provider, in my opinion, is service quality and uptime. And I give RingCentral a nine on that. RingCentral in this year, 2025, has had an outage or two recently, but that’s really been rare for the most part. They haven’t had any outages, so that’s why they’re not a ten. But I’ll give them a nine. They’re really good in terms of uptime and service quality for customer service, I give RingCentral an eight out of ten. I think they’re pretty good. I have had a couple of customers with a couple small complaints here and there, but for the most part they do a really good job. So eight out of ten, that’s a pretty good score.

5 Year Viability

Five year viability. This is something I think is important because if you have a medium to large sized company, the last thing you want to do is sign up with a cloud phone system vendor and then a year from now or two years from now, they sell their company. That platform is now grandfathered with some of their company. There’s no R&D going into the platform. There’s no innovation, there’s no updates, and it’s something you’re going to have to switch pretty soon. So five year viability, is this company’s platform going to be around for at least five years so that if you switch, you don’t have to switch again soon? And for RingCentral, I give them a ten out of ten on that. The big guy is not going anywhere in the next five years.

Features

For features. I think RingCentral also does a really good job. I give them a nine out of ten on that. They have most of the features you could ever want. There’s only a couple little features here and there that they’re missing, like pop ups for sale, smart cards, little AI, features like that where if you have salespeople and they mention the word price, you get a little pop up for price. They have some of that on their contact center platform, but on their regular phone system platform, they don’t have that. They’re missing a couple little features, but it’s really minor. So nine out of ten for RingCentral when it comes to features in terms of like scale

UX & AX

for user experience, I give them a seven out of ten and that’s still pretty good. But the reason I give them a seven out of ten is because they’re they’re pretty easy to use, pretty intuitive within the platform for a user to figure out. But they’re not Zoom and they’re not teams. And that’s what a lot of users in the United States are used to with medium or large size companies when it comes to things like instant messaging and conferencing. So if you’re using RingCentral, it’s going to be really hard to convince your users to use ring Central for conferencing and instant messaging as opposed to what they’re used to using with either Zoom or teams. So for user experience, I give them a seven out of ten.

For the admin experience, I give them a nine out of ten. I think they’re pretty good. The only thing I think they’re missing on the admin experience is maybe a little bit more drag and drop on the gooey when it comes to maybe making adjustments to your auto attendant. I have heard some users say like, Hey, if you’re not technical, there’s so many options in there in the admin experience that it might be a little bit difficult to navigate. But you guys are medium to large size companies, right? So you’re in I.T. department, you’re going to be pretty technical. So I think you’re going to be okay with that. But still, nine out of ten for RingCentral. On the admin experience

Pricing

for pricing. I give RingCentral a seven out of ten. That’s decently good. The things that I think RingCentral is missing on pricing is, number one, they don’t have unbundled pricing. They’re not able to separate call paths from users. Some companies do that for large businesses, which gets the pricing down quite a bit. So they can’t do that, but they’re still pretty competitive overall. The other thing I don’t like is that they have that administrative fee and 911 fee that they tack on on top of your licensing fee. So there’s a little hidden charges that I don’t like. And for that reason I give them a seven out of ten instead of a higher score. They’re

Global Availability & Integration

global availability. RingCentral gets a ten out of ten. They have a lot of global reach, pretty much as much as any other cloud phone system out there

For integration. I give RingCentral a nine out of ten. They integrate really well. With a lot of different platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot. They have good integrations that are already prebuilt for all of those things. So you’re not having to do any custom integration work there for a lot of the major CRM systems out there. They also have a really good dialer plug in, like I mentioned earlier in the video, really good dialer plug in for teams so that you can actually use the RingCentral app inside of teams. That’s pretty good. They have the best plug in I think in the marketplace right now, so they do a good job there. The only thing they don’t have that gives me reason to give them a nine out of ten on integration is on their contact center platform. They’re not one of the team’s approved platforms, so they don’t have they can’t integrate things like presence right now with Microsoft teams with their call center platform. So that’s probably coming soon. So maybe by the time you’re watching this video that has happened, but as of right now, I give them a nine out of ten on that on integrations

Hardware

and on hardware. I give them a nine out of ten. The all of their hardware that you can use with them is nonproprietary. So you can use them with not only RingCentral but any other vendors should you decide to switch and you can sell or not sell, but you can rent the equipment from RingCentral or the phones or you can buy it outright as well. They’ll preprogram it, send it to you. So nine out of ten for RingCentral on hardware.

My Overall Score

All right. Well, that’s my review on RingCentral 8.7 overall review on them. So again, don’t take everything I say, like 8.7, like they’re not as good as maybe, say, another vendor that I heard in my review, because again, it depends on the item that that made them reduce to an 8.7. Maybe it’s an item and a feature that your company doesn’t even need, right? So don’t worry about that. So again, take what I say with a grain of salt. But at the same time, if you’d like more information on RingCentral, if you’d like to see a demo on RingCentral, get pricing on RingCentral in your medium to large size company mean you have like 50 employees or more.

Reach out and contact me on the best cloud phone system vendor

Reach out, send me an email or give me a call (714.593.0011). This is my specialty. I’m a broker for all the major cloud phone system vendors out there, and I’ve been doing this for over 20 years. So I know the industry inside and out, and I can tell you the exact companies your company should be quoting and why I can introduce you to the best salespeople that you should be working with. I can make sure you get a great demo. I can oversee the quoting process and make sure you get the best pricing for the provider of your choice. So the nice thing is on top of that, though, is I don’t charge your company anything. The service providers like RingCentral actually pay me my broker fee so your company doesn’t have to pay me a dime. So there’s no excuse not to at least reach out and get my opinion on this stuff. So reach out to me, send me an email, give me a call. I will help your company make a lot better decision on this phone system project in a fraction of the time. All right.
