And you want those two to talk together? Well, one of the things, if that’s the case, one of the things you want to be looking into is customer activity sync within Salesforce. What is Customer Activity Sync

Okay. What is customer activity sync for Salesforce? it’s when someone from your company interacts with one of your customers that has a record in Salesforce, like, say they receive a call from or make a call to or interact on email or interact on SMS text messages or talk to them on website chat. Anything goes on like that. And that customer has an account already registered in Salesforce. It records that activity in the Salesforce record. So you can see every single interaction that’s taking place with that customer and what happened on that interaction and it’s all listed right there for you to see. So that’s what it is.

What are the Benefits?

The first benefit is that you’re just going to get more information because we all know agents or salespeople are having to do that logging manually, a lot of it’s not getting done. They’re not going to log every single interaction they had with a customer. They’re not going to log every single text message that got sent, every single email that got sent, every single phone call that took place. They’re just not going to do it. It takes too long. It’s too monotonous. They’re going to skip a lot of those. So you’re going to have less information as opposed to if it’s automatically logged. They don’t have to do anything. It’s automatically logged. So, if someone else is looking at that record, they’re going to see every single interaction that’s taking place automatically. You don’t have to worry about anybody not doing the logging themselves manually. And if you have more information, you’re going to have a better customer experience, so your customers are going to be happy. They’re going to be better taken care of by your company. You’re going to have things like better customer loyalty, you’re going to have increased sales, all kinds of good stuff.

The second main benefit is obvious Your contact center agents are going to be able to take more calls or make more calls. Your salespeople contact center agents if they’re spending less time doing wrap time, like typing in summaries and logging everything and doing a lot of typing. They’re not on the phone. So by doing all those men or doing all that, automatically they’re going to be able to be freed up to be talking to customers more. And when they’re talking to customers more, your company is making more money.
