  • Definition: Primary Rate Interface (PRI), is a digital, voice-only T1 circuit, utilizing ISDN technology. It allows 23 simultaneous calls to take place and also has 1 data/signaling channel which can pass important call information, such as caller ID and Dialed Number Information Service (DNIS).
  • Best Fit: Call centers or companies that want direct phone numbers (DID’s), or companies that have a phone system that requires a PRI voice T1 in order to maximize the phone system’s feature functionality.
  • Benefits:
    • Lower payroll costs. Direct dial numbers dramatically reduce the need to have someone manually answering and routing all calls coming into a business.
