Take Your Telephone Lines to the Next Level

ISDN-PRI is an end to end digital circuit that is utilized by many businesses in place of traditional analog phone lines. It enables the traditional phone lines to carry voice, data and video traffic. A PRI line is able to transfer up to 64 kilobit per second (kpbs) for data transmission. It also can be used to connect two PBX systems by providing up to 23 channels between them for interoperability.

I’m sure you’re wondering why you should you go to all of the trouble to make such a huge change in your office when your current phone lines are working fine and doing exactly what you want them to do. Well, what if they could do more? PRI lines are standard across many offices nowadays simply because its advanced capabilities are able to deliver so much more content over the exact same line as your phone calls.

Why should you switch to an ISDN-PRI?

Well, after much consideration and comparison to the alternatives including analog lines, here are some of the main benefits of switching over to this newer and innovative technology.

1. Cost. The cost of terminating an ISDN-PRI line is much less and much more cost efficient than attempting to terminate several analog lines (which would be the case because analog lines are always functional in bundles).

2. Direct inward calling capabilities. With ISDN PRI, there is no limit to the amount of phone numbers you can have and the number of ways you can program those phone numbers to be routed. Want a direct phone number? Done. Want a direct number for customer service? Done. Imagine how much time that will save your front-desk person and how please your clients will be to call directly?

3. Multi faceted capabilities. PRI lines have the ability to provide both voice and data on the same line at the exact same time. Efficiency has never been so readily available.

4. Call hunting functionality. Call hunting becomes much simpler with a PRI because rather than a caller receiving a busy dial tone, the call is funneled into an open line by default if the actual number called is busy.

5. Simultaneous functions. With a PRI line, voice, data, video conferencing and faxing can all be done at the exact same time on the multiple channels.

6. Unbeatable reliability. PRI lines, with their advanced technological features, are way more reliable than your average analog lines and trouble shooting when something goes wrong is also much easier.

7. Suitable for small companies. ISDN-PRI pricing is much more flexible and service providers are often generous with the number of lines that they are willing to provide in comparison to the number that you actually end up having to pay for.

So, there you have it. There are so many different reasons why you should switch to an ISDN-PRI in addition to the ones that are listed but none of these are going to make an impact on you until you decide exactly which reason makes the switchover worth it for you and your business needs.
