April 4, 2016 Aerocom

If your company is in the market for a Cloud Email provider… and Office 365 or hosted exchange is a little overkill right now… there are a lot of great cloud email services for business.

But which solution is the best?

Well, you can browse the customer reviews on our website for “Cloud Email” (which I recommend doing regardless)… but for an even deeper dive, check out what I did.

I analyzed the reviews myself and found the following:

1) Which providers have the most reviews
2) Which providers have the highest rating
3) What service features are the most frequently mentioned within the reviews posted.

Take a look!

Most Reviewed Cloud Email Providers for Business

  1. Google (a.k.a. Gmail): 17 reviews
  2. 1 & 1: 10 Reviews

Take-Away: There is definitely a correlation between the providers with the most customers and the providers who receive the most reviews. That being said, we can assume that these providers probably have more customers than many of the other competitors. For buyers, this equates to one vote in these providers’ favor, considering there is some amount of safety in numbers.

Highest Rated Cloud Email Providers for Business

  1. Google: 4.5 Brains (out of 5)
  2. 1 & 1: 4.4 Brains (out of 5)

Gmail Review: Google apps has made my life so easy when it comes to supporting my co-workers.

Take-Away: Both of these service providers have a relatively high rating… so what’s the difference? See below.

1 & 1 Review: Unlimited free emails with their basic hosting plan-! SUCH a good deal... I've never had an issue with any of my email accounts.

Take-Away: Google may be your choice if your users’ interface and spam filtering is your biggest concern. But if you need a ton of free email accounts and decent support, 1 & 1 might be the way to go.

Since our review site just launched a few months ago, I’m looking forward to increasing the sample size and seeing how these results change over the next year.
