Is GoTo Connect a right fit for your company?

All right, let’s get into the review. So as I mentioned earlier, this review is really for medium to large size companies. Why? Because that’s my area of expertise. That’s where my experience resides and that’s what I work with. So that’s what I’m focusing on today. That’s what I really know about if you’re a really small company, unfortunately, I’m not the best person to ask. If Goto Connect is the best service provider for your company.

GoTo Connect is a good fit, if:

All right. So I’m going to tell you right out of the gate when is go to connect a particularly good solution for your company. Number one is if your company is using go to for its conferencing or other services.

Number two, if your company needs more than just the basic phone system, features like answer, transfer, voice mail, auto attendant, your company needs things like call recording. Your company needs things like analytics. Your company needs things like SMS texting, things like that. Or maybe you have a small call center that would make go to connect a particularly good fit for your company. Obviously, you want to investigate it a little further. That’s where I come in. But right out of the gate I can tell you go to connect. You’re on the right track.

Service Quality & Reliability, Customer Service

Okay, let’s get into my actual review of Go to Connect. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to go through ten different items that I feel are the most important items to take a look at when you’re looking at a new phone system purchase. And I’m going to rate go to connect on a scale of 1 to 10, one being the lowest ten being the highest rating.

so the first category is reliability and service quality, like I’m talking about call quality or uptime, things like that. And I give go to connect a nine out of ten on that. I don’t have any complaints from my go to connect customers about reliability uptime you know, call quality, things like that. So nine out of ten

customer service I also give go to connect a nine out of ten. If you call their main customer service line, you’re going to have somebody answer the phone, a live voice right away. They do a really good job. I’ve not heard of any customers complaining about calling in to customer service and having a long wait times or them not being able to resolve issues. So I give them a nine out of ten on customer service. Now, hey, like any telecommunications company, when you call in, the first person you talk to may not be like some savvy engineer able to fix things right away, but no company has that. You’re going to be talking to Tier one now, if you escalate down to tier two, Tier three, you’re going to get more expertise if your issue needs it. But overall, go to connect does all those things. So nine out of ten.

5 Year Viability, Features

so over a five year viability. So what this is, is this is me saying is go to connect going to be around five years from now. Well, five years is a long time in the tech space. I give go to connect a six out of ten on this why a six out of ten will six out of ten is above average. I do think they have a good chance of being around in five years, but the industry is changing quite a bit. And so there are some big competitors out there and I don’t know if Go to Connect is for sure going to be around in five years. They might sell off to another big company and sell their customer base or things like that. You never really know and go to connect to me is not one of the major most major players in the industry. They’re not one of the top three. Those top three or so I would give maybe a nine or ten out of ten, but they’re not one of those top three. So then I started to guess a little bit, Hey, they have a really good product. They do a good job, but is their brand name going to be around for five years? Or maybe they might sell their customer base off to another company and the name on your bill might change, but the service stays the same.

for features I give go to connect an eight out of ten. They have a lot of the features that you would want in your phone system, like SMS, call analytics, call recording. They have a teams integration that’s pretty good. They have a lot of pretty good features. So eight out of ten

User Experience, Admin Experience,

for user experience, I could go to connect a seven out of ten. I think Go to Connect is a really easy platform for users to understand and use. It’s very easy on the eyes, very simple platform. The reason I give them a seven out of ten is because goods you connect is not Zoom or teams and zoom or teams. By far have the majority of the market share When it comes to conferencing, most companies are using Zoom or teams for conferencing. So if your company is using Zoom or teams and then you’re using go to connect for your phone system, you’re having to use a separate app for the phone system as opposed to zoom in teams that you’re using for conferencing, instant messaging. So for that reason, I give them a seven out of ten instead of a higher score, but still seven out of ten is pretty good and again, very easy to use for users.

For the administrative experience I give go to connect a ten out of ten for years I’ve heard IT departments on demos talk about how cool the administrative experiences with Go to Connect. You can drag or drop to rearrange your auto attendant options, all kinds of cool stuff, but it’s just so simple for administrators to use. You can add, remove, change users on demand. You don’t have to calling to start a ticket. Just very simple to administer

Price, Global Availability, Integration

for pricing. I give go to connect to nine out of ten go to connect. That’s definitely one of their strengths. They’re very competitively priced and they have some good pricing for like commentary phones to get those down really low. If you have a lot of commentary, phones just are normal, User price is fairly low and packed with a lot of great features. Something I really love about Go to Connect is they don’t have the additional hidden extra fees of administrative or cost recovery fee or 911 fee that some providers tack on to the user fee, which equates to about $5 per user. With most cloud phone system providers in the marketplace go to connect doesn’t have that. So that automatically saves you $5 per month per user. So nine out of ten for pricing for go to connect

global availability gets a five out of ten for go to connect. For me, They’re not known for their global reach. They do have access to some international countries, but not a huge global footprint there. So five out of ten

integration I give go to connect and eight out of ten they have an open API, which is step one for me to give them a good score for integration. And they also have prebuilt integrations for your most popular CRM platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, things like that. So eight out of ten.

Hardware & Overall Rating

And for hardware I give go to connect and eight out of ten as well Go to Connect isn’t going to specialize in hardware. This isn’t there area of expertise and they’ll tell you that for sure. They don’t have access to all the different makes and model phones, but their platform does allow you to use normal IP phone. So as long as you’re getting like a Polycom or I guess a poly now or a link phone or something, that’s a bigger brand and it’s a newer model, it’s going to be able to work with with go to connect. Also Go to Connect has a lot of promos where they give away free phones to their customers. So eight out of ten overall.

So the overall average for go to connect is a 7.9. Again, I think Go to Connect is a great overall solution. I have a lot of happy customers with them. I like working with them a lot. I would say it’s a great provider with a lot of features and a very affordable price. So that’s that’s my review on Go to Connect.
