8×8 Elects Jaswinder Pal Singh to Board of Directors!

 
Oct 29, 2013 (Menafn – M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) –8×8 Inc EGHT, a provider of cloud communications and collaboration solutions, announced on Monday that Dr Jaswinder Pal (JP) Singh has been named to its board of directors, effective immediately.

Dr Singh succeeds Mansour Salame, who has served on the company’s board since January 2012 and resigned last week to pursue other opportunities.

According to the company, Dr Singh’s appointment to its board aligns with its recently announced plans to increase the investment in its Research & Development activities to add new services and applications to its cloud communications and collaboration services platform.

Currently, Dr Singh is a Full Professor of Computer Science at Princeton University and chairman and co-founder of Gwynnie Bee Inc. Prior to that he was co-founder and chief technology officer at firstRain Inc, a SaaS provider of market intelligence solutions for the enterprise. He has also served as an advisor to Right Media Inc, a SaaS online advertising exchange that was acquired by Yahoo in 2007, and later led the development of Yahoo’s next-generation advertising marketplace.
