  • Definition: Point to Point (also called Private Line), is a wide area network (WAN), service that connects two sites with a straight-line, private connection. Speed can range from 1M+.
  • Best Fit: A company with 2 sites within approximately 50 miles of each other, needing to communicate real-time and/or large amounts of data between sites.
  • Benefits:
    • Fast Network Speed. No encryption bottlenecking.
    • Low Cost. Pricing is inexpensive if the two sites are close together.
    • Simple.
  • Available Features with Select Providers:
    • Managed Routers. Rare but some providers offer managed routers.
