NxT1 (Bonded T1) Internet Access Service Provider

March 15, 2011 Aerocom

  • Definition: 2 or more T1 Internet connections, bonded together (by a provider-managed router), to create faster Internet speeds, ranging from 3M – 12M (at 1.5M increments).
  • Best Fit: A company that wants T1 quality Internet but needs more than 1.5M Internet speed.
  • Benefits:
    • Less Downtime. If one circuit fails, all traffic continues to flow over the other T1(s). Internet speed is temporarily reduced but not lost.
    • Fast, Synchronous Upload Speed
    • Same speed, all the time. Dedicated bandwidth, not shared with other neighboring customers of that service provider.
    • Faster overall performance and less downtime. NxT1 lines come with a Service Level Agreement (SLA), that guarantees Network Availability, Packet Loss, Latency and sometimes Jitter.
  • Available Features with Select Providers:
    • Managed Router
    • Online bandwidth utilization reporting.
    • Automatic Failover to DSL, 4G, etc.
    • BGP Routing
