Easter Traditions at AeroCom and Around the World

April 11, 2014 Aerocom

Easter is just right around the corner! This year, Easter Sunday lands on April 20. So mark your calendars and get your eggs and baskets ready. Many families have developed their own special traditions around this holiday. In other countries, traditions are very different from what we usually see here in the US. In Finland, kids celebrate by wearing costumes and asking for treats like Halloween. In Greece, people paint their Easter eggs red to symbolize the blood of Jesus Christ and rebirth. In Scotland, people roll their Easter eggs down a steep hill and whoever gets the farthest without breaking wins!

AeroCom employees are also excited about the Easter Holiday. Mike Smith, President of AeroCom, has shared that he has a tradition of an Easter Sunday Brunch with his family along with an Easter egg hunt. Mike has also shared that him and his wife also enjoy laughing at the memory of him cluelessly proposing to her on Good Friday. Lauren Draves, Marketing intern at AeroCom, has shared her memories of living in Minnesota where after Easter Mass they would go bowling and later on she would help prepare Easter dinner at her house.

The Easter traditions are not only different among people around the world but also in our own workplace at AeroCom, Inc. What are your Easter traditions? Are you ready to start a new tradition this year? Whatever tradition or memory you do have in mind, family and friends should be the center point of your Easter holiday.

Have a Happy Easter, from our family at AeroCom to yours!
