  • Definition: 7 T1’s bonded together to create a 10M Internet connection, handed off to the end-user via an Ethernet cable.
  • Best Fit: A business that needs a 10M Internet connection that isn’t able to get EoC and is also not planning on needing to increase their speed within the next 2 years.
  • Benefits:
    • Inexpensive Router. High bandwidth yet handed off via Ethernet as opposed to a DS3 handoff.
    • Less Downtime. 7 T1 lines are deployed, so if 1 T1 goes down, the Internet stays up because the other 6 T1’s are still operational.
    • Fast Speed. 10M Synchronous Download and Upload bandwidth.
    • Same speed, all the time. Dedicated bandwidth, not shared with other neighboring customers of that service provider.
    • Faster overall performance and less downtime. Ethernet over DS1 lines come with a Service Level Agreement (SLA), that guarantees Network Availability, Packet Loss, Latency and sometimes Jitter.
