Starbuck’s Caramel Brulee and Gingerbread Late’s are back on the menu. You can’t listen to the radio without hearing at least 5 different radio stations playing Christmas music. As you walk into the office, your boss displays cookies with green and red sprinkles and you think…I should really get started on my Christmas shopping!
The holidays are just around the corner and we’re definitely feeling the spirit here at AeroCom! From stockings hung around our cubicles to the “Santa Please Stop Here” sign right outside of our office, we’re ready for Christmas and hope you are too!
Just in case you haven’t quite started on the decorating…here are 10 tips that we hope will make your decorating a whole lot easier!
- Stay with one theme and style. Shopping for décor becomes easier and your space will have a professional feel to it!
- Satisfy your nose with the scents of the holiday! Potperri and scented candles are a quick, cheap and no-hassle way to create the most welcoming scents!
- Keep your color palettes consistent. We recommend 2-3 colors to stick with.
- Create a family tradition involving your husband, wife or children!
- Moving your furniture around to create a clear visible room for your stockings/decorations will create a different look & feel for this special time of the year.
- White Christmas lights (like we used at our offices) can fit and match any color scheme you went with. Colored lights- don’t always match!
- Investing in a collection of decorations isn’t a bad idea! Keeping the décor matching and around the same color makes your space look neat and clean- even with a lot of decorations!
- Use lots of candles. Nothing makes a room feel more cozy and warmer during these cold seasons!
- Bring the holiday spirit into every room. Don’t just decorate the living room, go ahead and throw in a few seasonal knickknacks into the kitchen!
- Have fun and go big. The holiday season is one time where “less is more” does NOT apply!
We hope you enjoyed our 10 tips to decorating your space for the holiday season. Remember, nothing is more welcoming and exciting than walking into a room lit up with beautiful Christmas lights with illuminating candles releasing the holiday scents into the air…just don’t forget to blow the flame out when you’re finished!
