What Is Single-Pass Architecture and Why Does It Reduce Latency
Your organization is in the market for an SD-WAN or SASE solution and latency is a big priority. You need to make sure you’re reducing latency across your wide area network. If that’s the case you’re going to want to be looking into single-pass architecture with companies like Cato, Versa, and Palo Alto. Single-pass architecture means that everything gets inspected in one pass — you’re not jumping from application to application to do different functions included in a SASE solution. By doing so it spends less time inspecting and more time moving, which means lower latency.
What Single-Pass Architecture Includes
Some of the things handled in a single-pass architecture include global route optimization, traffic shaping, SaaS optimization, TCP proxy, and cloud access acceleration. It also handles single sign-on, firewall as a service, secure web gateway, sandboxing, anti-malware, IPS, and CASB — all in one pass.
The Benefits of Single-Pass Architecture
The benefits of single-pass architecture are significant. First, less decryption and encryption across multiple stacks which directly reduces latency. Second, fewer applications to manage which simplifies your IT environment. Third, reduced cost from consolidating vendors — putting all those different applications into a single vendor is less expensive than paying for each individually.
Which Vendors Offer Single-Pass Architecture
The vendors that offer single-pass architecture include Aryaka, Cato Networks, Versa, Palo Alto, and Open Systems. There may be a couple others but those are the providers that definitely offer it. If you’d like a demo or pricing on any of these providers don’t reach out to them directly.
How Mike Can Help Your Company
Reach out to me directly and I will get you better pricing from all those providers. I’ll make sure you get introduced to the best salespeople at those organizations and I’ll oversee the whole process to make sure everything goes smoothly. If there are other unique competitors in the marketplace you should be considering I’ll recommend them as well. I can get engineers involved and dive deep into your company’s specific SD-WAN and SASE requirements. I’m a broker for all the major SASE and SD-WAN providers and have been since SD-WAN came out around 2016. I was selling MPLS before that so I know wide area network connectivity quite well. My services are completely free to your company so there’s no excuse not to at least reach out and get my opinion. Send me an email or give me a call at 714.593.0011. Join the thousands of other IT departments who have used me to help make a better decision in a fraction of the time.
