SD-WAN

Boost your WAN Performance and Redundancy

Your users will never understand why the network is slow. They also don’t understand that you’ve already exhausted your options for a faster connection for that site. And we all know that having an entire office, full of employees, relying on a single WAN connection is never a good idea.

SD-WAN is an IP-based, Wide Area Network (WAN), service that connects one or more sites. It is ideal for companies who want to increase the performance and reliability of data transmission from one office location to another. It’s also a fantastic technology to increase the quality of real-time, highly sensitive applications, such as voice and video.

What’s in it for you?

  • Increased Performance: SD-WSD-WANAN allows companies to use two or more public Internet or private WAN circuits (i.e. MPLS, P2P,
etc.), at each site, simultaneously, for a single WAN. The SD-WAN service constantly checks for the optimal route and intelligently determines which circuit will get the packets to their destination, faster. The SD-WAN can also throttle non-priority WAN applications, on-the-fly, to create more room for high-priority applications. This increased performance speeds-up all office applications and increases the transmission quality of highly sensitive applications, like voice, video and remote desktop.
  • Increased Reliability: SD-WAN allows companies to use two or more public Internet or private WAN circuits (i.e. MPLS, P2P, etc.), at each site, simultaneously, for a single WAN. The circuits can even be purchased from different service providers. So if one access circuit fails, the other is still working.
  • You’re never tied to any ISP: Because SD-WAN allows you to mesh multiple circuits from multiple providers, you are never stuck having to use the same service provider at all sites, like you do with other private WAN technologies, such as MPLS and Point to Point. That means it’s easier to do things like add a remote location to the network or increase the WAN bandwidth at a site without having to renew your ISP’s contract.
  • Easy to Install and Manage: With most SD-WAN services, the service provider will install a small, very basic router at each site. For remote sites, they’ll ship it to you and it’s plug and play. All network routing configurations are managed through a web portal. No on-site configuring or programming is required at any site either initially, or when changes are required.
