My Internship Experience at AeroCom

September 11, 2014 Aerocom

Since the first day of my internship at AeroCom, I felt an amazing energy from the people and environment. I am very grateful for the priceless experience and valuable lessons I have acquired during my time. As a marketing student, one usually reads and studies about marketing and branding. Some students are assigned class projects with businesses for research purposes. Then there are those who dare to take an internship at a business and only are responsible for the coffee and lunch catering. I was lucky enough to land an internship where I was trusted and trained to be a real marketing assistant. I was allowed to work with real marketing campaigns with the latest digital marketing tools.

My Last Day at AeroCom!

The tasks I was assigned were everything I have hoped to practice in my marketing career. I was able to create significant blogs posts, develop SEO press releases and case studies, interact with social media, and much more. Mike Smith, AeroCom President, has become one of my favorite bosses to date because of his openness to creativity and just overall understanding of all of his employees. I was also very lucky to work under Janelle Abaoag, AeroCom Marketing Director, since I learned valuable lessons from her unique marketing expertise and practices.

AeroCom is about People!

As Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh states, “Your culture is your brand” and this is exactly what AeroCom continues to produce each day. The memories I made at AeroCom will stay with me because of the great people. I feel like I was truly able to perform my best at AeroCom because of the positive work environment. I am ready to tackle any new marketing opportunity I have now in the future because of my training here. I can’t wait to see the future of AeroCom and I wish it the very best.
