Last week we highlighted the new iPhone Air 6, but this week we are going to cover the new line of Samsung’s affordable phones. The Samsung Galaxy phones are in constant competition with Apple’s iPhones. Similar to Apple, Samsung has come up with their own line of cost effective phones.
On June 30, 2014, Samsung showcased a new line of four low-cost phones. Each phone will be built with the latest version of Android as well a simplified version of Samsung’s TouchWhiz interface. Samsung has not yet released pricing details for the new line of phones or where the phones will be available. However, given that these phones have “low-end specs and [an] emphasis on affordability, it’s possible some or all of the new phones will be targeted at markets outside of the U.S.”

This is Samsung’s second attempt to maintain a competitive edge over other phones available in the market. They first came out with the Samsung Z, which is also a cheaper phone and is set to be released in Russia by the end of the year. These four new phones are nothing to write home about. However, their price tag is probably what will make them appealing to consumers. In a mobile world where phones can cost up to $400+ these phones are definitely worth keeping in your consideration set, especially if you are looking for something more practical.
