April 25, 2014 Aerocom
Many Americans will be celebrating this holiday today, Friday, April 25, 2014. Arbor Day is usually celebrated during the last Friday of April. This holiday began in 1872 with the help of J. Sterling Morton from the state of Nebraska. He had the ambitious attitude to plan one million trees in the state in one day!
This holiday has been passed to other countries such as Japan in 1883. President Roosevelt took the responsibility of making a proclamation for this holiday about tree awareness in 1907. Today, Arbor Day events are held in more than 40 nations during different times of the year.
We at AeroCom, Inc. get to celebrate this great holiday with our awesome location in Newport Beach. Our office has just the right view of the Newport Beach Golf Course with it’s beautiful big trees.
There are many activities you can take part in during this holiday which range from hiking to planting a tree. You can also simply enjoy your Arbor Day Friday by going outside. Hope you and your family and friends have a “leafy” Friday!
