Cloud File Storage

I have mixed input on SugarSync after being familiar with it for under a year. Earlier versions seemed to have worked better as far as file manipulation and load time worked. However, it is just like any other cloud hosting that syncs with your computer. I found a benefit to be that you can sync certain folders with certain computers to the cloud, whereas with some other software's it's generally all folders with all folders. Since one of our larger companies we acquired also uses this software we are using it a little more often and created our own account for support purposes. It's different, but it works.

We picked up a client that utilizes SugarSync in their daily workflow. The program is similar to Dropbox, but comes with a bunch of headaches. It is rough to manage if you are looking for a new file solution from an IT MSP stand point. My techs have worked on numerous issues, leaving frustration on both ends (client and it staff).

I started using this as a free solution for personal use and found it is very relieble and decided to try it out in business.I like the ability to select any of the folders you want to sync. They have an option called "cloud recycling bin" which keeps all deleted files from synced folders . it saved me in various situations. The central administration tools are wonderful and allow you to set size limits on a per user basis.

I've had only about two weeks experience with Sugarsync, as I took over an account from existing IT. Very similar to Dropbox but the interface is a little bit of getting used to, from someone who is a Dropbox user. A big downfall is needing to use the "Sugarsync Desktop App". The new update no longer allows for files/subfolders to "move" into another.

The program does sync quickly upon new computer setups or file changes. Business support is very helpful (had to call them 3 times already).

sugarsync is one of the best cloud storage version.I have been a sugarsync customer for over 8 months now. Overall, I’m quite happy with the product but of course there are some glitches that you can only experience after using it extensively. The drag-and-drop functionality for example is something that is not working properly for me. #spiceworks

Cloud File Storage

This provider is probably one of my favorites. It makes it easy for users to really feel like their laptop or mobile device is just like their desktop at work. The folder structure is kept the same no matter what device you are using. So when a user sits at their desk, then opens up their laptop at home, they see the same thing. Document folders sync together as if they were the same documents folder. Even pictures!
