We use Spectrum Business at several of our sites. I have always been happy with the speed. Customer support is usually good. However, I've never been a fan of the "bundling" of services they try to push. I was recently called by Spectrum offering to double my speed at a lower price. It turned out to be a bundle, which I declined. The sales person assured me several times that once everything was activated, I could cancel the added services and keep the lower price. This turned out to be a lie. I am currently fighting support and will update with any resolution.

We primarily use Charter cable internet in our mid-west sites as primary ISPs. They have the fair share of internet issues, but nothing more then the next provider. Support is easy to get a hold of as well. They are also easy to work with in getting new sites setup we take over. Charter is a great choice for an primary ISP.

We had a 5MB by 5MB Point-to-Point connection between two of our offices through Charter Business (now Spectrum) for several years. During that time, it reliably met our minimum requirements for the connection. Issues were few and far between, and I found their customer service to be friendly, helpful and competent.
Once a fiber connection became available, we planned to upgrade the connection. The initial quote from Charter/Spectrum was within our budget, however by the time the project received final approval on our end the Charter/Spectrum quote increased about 10x. This resulted in selection of another provider for fiber. #SpicySith

We've used Charter Business (formerly Bresnan / Optimum in our area) since 2008. As a creative / web development / I.T. service agency, having a reliable connection with reasonable upstream/downstream is crucial.
In 8 years time, we've had only 1 outage and perhaps a thimblefull of issues, all of which were resolved in a matter of hours or minutes. Both phone and on-site customer service are generally excellent.
That said, Charter's cable service is overpriced for the dismal 60mbps down / 4mbps up speeds. I also would not recommend their e-mail nor website hosting services: While included with the Internet service cost, they lack generally-standard features and any ability for of robust configuration. It's worth noting, however, that as a sysadmin my expectations tend to be unusually high.
I'd recommend Charter to anyone who isn't within the service area of fiber, and DEFINITELY recommend them over DSL any day.

Used charter as our ISP for our school district. Has been very reliable for us with very little outages. Speed is great and reliable. Our overall bandwidth is very acceptable and it can handle very high usage from our schools. #SpicySith

We've had used Charter in the past. Service was stable and reliable. We didn't have any package deals with it at the time, just a basic Internet plan. Speeds were decent for what we needed at time time (Small office) and had no issues to call for tech support.

Charter's cable internet speeds have been fantastic for my clients and their customer support is very pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately they don't offer service in my area, so I've been stuck with a competitor that I don't care for. All in all, highly recommended if you can get their services in your area. #spiceworks

The internet connection has been stable and the up-time in the high 90%. The only down side for me is that the service. They increased my speed by 2 but I have to call the service department to have them fix the modem. Why tell me that you have increased my speed if you really haven't?

Coupled Charter's phone service with their internet package to save money with the 'bundle'. I wish I would have kept my land line.
While their service offers a wide array of options, little things like forcing you to change your voicemail password repeatedly, random outages that just affect the phone service and not the internet service and first contact support 'techs' that do little more than read from a script and gather information, I found myself better off porting my number to my local cell service provider. Far less outages, if your phone line is down, customers can't contact you.

You have to know how to handle them, but ever since I started using Charter for my cable internet, I've been pretty happy. The product itself has been very stable for me. The one winter when I was having issues, I called and within minutes they had determined a line issue and dispatched a tech to check out our street. No issues since then. I haven't had to call support recently, but they've always been pretty friendly and genuinely seem to want to help.
