Spiceworks. Spiceworks has been the most useful type of helpdesk there is. It is easy to work and has so many perks. It has monitoring of many things, Network monitoring especially. I would recommend this to a friend or other companies for sure.

Spiceworks helpdesk software has given us great ability in managing our workflow and tickets. It has tremendous features for ticket management and organization. It also allows many different ways for users to interact with it and submit tickets which makes the end user experience just as good as ours. Hard to believe that it is free.

Until we became too large, this tool got us started and it was amazing. We had several techs all within a certain department. It was simple to setup and even easier to navigate and customize our settings. Able to have KB articles and files available, it really became our little Intranet. Email communication was really key here, and to date I cannot think of anytime we lost productivity for any downtime issue.

I also have been using SW way back as an early adopter. Had trouble finding devices and had to learn how the software worked to my benefit. Over time (and so glad I stuck around), it has grown in ability, their team grew, and super knowledgeable if help is needed. Great tool for those with simple and even advanced needs. Reporting, Monitoring, Email notices, etc.

i am using spiceworks for 4 years . i inherited the service from previous admin and it was a mess. It had all the legacy data and never made it possible to get a clear start . helpdesk is better than most of the free one available in market. Inventory really needs an update on their interface. overall a good software and an awesome community.

It is a free software so i cant really complain.it is in its initial stage , should put beta tag on it. easy installation and configuration but lags whenever you add a server. taking too much memory and cpu. but since last update it is far better so i hope it will be a better software soon.

i love their software and community. this is where i spend time during procrastination.Helpdesk is great compare to any other free ones. Now they released cloud version and it is brilliant already. inventory system is good but interface itself is very old fashioned. they need to bring new designer and redo the whole design.

Spiceworks network monitoring tool is not the best software in this genre but it has every potential to be one. IT is a bit resource hungry but they kepp updating and getting better in every feature. i still cant add linux server so not sure if it let you monitor nix besed systems yet. it is free and has super support

Spiceworks... where to begin? I started with Spiceworks at my first IT job. We utilized there ticketing system to mitigate all incoming support requests. The system worked flawlessly. Best of all it is free. The free version is a fully functionally product. There is a version you can pay for to remove the ads to support the company as well. Takes a little bit to get setup and fine tune the program, but worth all time invested.

i am using spiceworks hepdesk and inventory for 1 year but been in community for 3 years. THe software itself is very strong and full of features. They are updating ir very frequently. THe support is awesome and there are a lot members there to help you even before support team reply. integrated apps like mdm and other software make it necessary for any SMBs. But it is not ready for enterprise yet also not ITIL based but hey it is free and it is awesome.

I deployed the network monitoring tool. Easy enough to setup, but not very configurable. it takes all the resources from server even if you have added only few server in to it. Linux servers are not added yet and so buggy but good thing is they releases updates frequently and getting better by every month. Great tool but still long way to go.

Awesome help desk tool that compares with and is ahead of many other products. The community is a key component as they provide an infinite amount of quality information and troubleshooting that you just can't find at other vendors. It seems to have improved greatly and I switched back to using Spiceworks for helpdesk. I look forward to more improvements in both the helpdesk and network scanning speeds.

Great tool for smaller networks. We only have 4 switches and 8 servers to monitor. With so few things being monitored I can have all the relevant information with just a quick glance at the tab I have it open in. It saved me hours of troubleshooting after we had lightning come in through a network run.

I am quite impressed with the free monitoring tools that Spiceworks offers. We are a small organization with a low budget, so to find something this robust and feature-packed was a real treat. We have minor issues with it and it really helps up keep track of IT inventory and assets on the network.

Great system suitable for most help desk needs. I was able to easily configure this and set up for my last employer. We were a small office and this was a good fit for us. Quick support is available if and when needed. Unless you need a major ticketing system with billing, bells and whistles, I recommend starting here.

I begun using the monitoring tools way back when Spiceworks was version 1.7 . There were many bugs that needed to work out and it was such a process to clear up all the unidentified devices. Now 10 years in the making, the product has come a long way and with stellar free IT gurus to help assist, SW has really been a great tool and offers so much. Reporting and monitoring work great, would recommend.

My previous employer used (still uses) SpiceWorks' network monitoring tools and it was my first taste of IT. The software is fantastic - it's incredibly detailed and easy to navigate. The forums are full of other IT pros and staff that can answer any questions you may have in regards to their software (or anything, really). Highly recommended! #spiceworks

My previous employer used SpiceWorks' Help Desk software and network monitoring tools. We loved the software and how easy to use it was. The software can be customized for your needs and the forums have been helpful on more than one occasion. I'm hoping I can convince my current IT director to switch to SpiceWorks as well. #spiceworks

Thanks AeroCom for adding the best service in the history of IT. And, Id like to add that I requested spiceworks be added to the list! (your welcome spiceheads!) Spiceworks is hands down the best IT community - FREE or paid - to have in your back pocket. The network monitor was probably one of the greatest inventions yet. I use it to monitor our small network of a few servers and switches. As always there are a few bugs to work out but, for the most part, its very easy to setup and the support team is always available to help. Help desk is integrated right in like a chat interface. Its great! #spiceworks
