NetCarrier’s start was in 1996, as a dial-up provider, where both commercial and residential customers came to NetCarrier as an alternative to America On-Line (AOL).
In 2000, Brook Lenfest purchased a majority of the company from Founder Christopher K. Peltier. The focus then was moved away from residential services toward the business to business communication marketplace. In addition, NetCarrier built a fiber-optic network throughout the Philadelphia Metropolitan area.
Since that time, NetCarrier has grown organically and by acquisition. In 2001, NetCarrier acquired Eclipse Internet, providing a strong presence in the Northern New Jersey and New York markets. From 2006-2008 NetCarrier continually expanded throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, before acquiring SNiP Telecom in 2010.
Due to the increased demand for cloud communications, In 2011 NetCarrier expanded into the UCaaS market and began offering services nationwide. After years of success deploying voice and data services, in 2018 NetCarrier’s UCaaS platform, TelEdge, was launched by their in house development team. TelEdge is hosted in a Carrier Grade Network, designed to eliminate a single point of failure and maintain business continuity for mission critical applications.
Combining their carrier infrastructure with the best of breed unified communication features, nCloud Connect became their flagship UCaaS product suite, powered by TelEdge.
