We had made the switch away from McAfee protection to BitDefender endpoint security. At the time our office was small and had about 15 end points. Also, one location.

We seemed to be limited with McAfee and some of our computers at the time weren't able to handle the running processes. Scans took awhile to perform and I often would run additional tools to further check for viruses and malware.

Gone are the days of McAfee, Norton etc paid services for antivirus and firewalls. These applications are very heavy running processes that bog down a hosts computer or server resource. I dont recommend these services to anyone I work with or have the opportunity to meet. In fact, I recommend the complete opposite, a free service, a better service that keeps your machine running at real time speed. #spiceworks

We currently use McAfee for our spam filtering. It works okay...when it chooses to work. I personally feel like it lets in emails that are clearly on the blacklist every once in awhile. Configuration is a breeze, though. #spiceworks
