We are using Efolder on a few of our systems running critical data that needs to backup. We are also still running windows 7 machines, it's running smooth. We have had very minor issues but believe there was a software conflict on our end, since resolved, everything has been great.
I had issues with backing up windows 10. it never complete data , more than 100gb , for weeks. Calling supports and they dont have any anwser. It works great when it works but terrible support, i must say. Their interface is simple but i would stay away from them #spiceworks
I have configured it for one of my clients. I can say it is a reliable cloud storage provider . I would suggest that this product is great entry level offering for cost conscious users. They have an admirable set of management policies, notably around users and devices. Administrators can restrict or permit access to data per device so that is a great option for us. #spiceworks
For smaller to midsize organizations that need secure file synchronization and sharing, it is a reasonable option. It overcomes inherent gaps in the pure-play cloud tools from Dropbox and Microsoft. also they need to improve Reporting and analytics integration and lack of DRM is a bad thing. if they can add hybrid version to portfolio, it could do a lot better. #spiceworks.
We've been using eFolder for file level backups for years. It is very configurable so that you can get exactly what you want and as often as you want. The great thing about it is that it has three location options, Remote, Local Server, and Local. We use a combination of Remote and Local Server to store a large variety of backups.
I love the fact that they work with reverse delta incrementals which works extremely well and makes for minimal costs and fast restores.
In addition they work with SQL, Exchange, etc.
My one complaint is that when managing multiple installs can be cumbersome since the central management is lacking.
We are currently using Efolder with Veeam as BDR and it works like a charm. The initial configuration was bit troublesome but apart from that there isn't any learning curve for this solution. Customer support is really good and response time is impressing. i highly recommend this to anyone who need an SMB solution. #spiceworks
