I work closely with a disaster recovery organization in my area and have assisted them with setup for Dropbox Business. We began with the basic service but realized we had to upgrade. They cannot have a fully dedicated IT team, so I helped to assist and went with Dropbox 1TB option for its ease and ability to sync fast without user interaction.
It's been in use for over 6 months and when I ask about it, they've had no issues. Works good for about 15-20 total users who need to share data.
They have a handful of users who need to work externally and this is a perfect solution them for a smaller budget. As an IT person, it is also super easy to work with Dropbox to assist from a technical standpoint. Very satisfied with service.
It is one of the best software that can integrates to user networks. very easy to manage and deploy. Users need just basic training to start using it. file administration can't be any better. as most users using home version of dropbox, it is very easy to recommend to all clients.
i have configured more than 5 dropbox services for various companies and i never had any problems so far. Once it configured, it is very easy to manage by a non IT admin for small companies. For users, it is one of the simplest file storage services to use even without basic tutorials.
We have been using Dropbox for business as long as I can remember. The simple setup let's any user, technical or non, to sync and and have a cloud backup up and running in no time. The synchronization is flawless and works across devices with mobile support as well. We also use this as a quick way to get files shared with a URL to clients or outsourced contacts (printing files, graphics too large to email).
I really enjoyed the ease of use for Dropbox for business. Simple to use, it happens automatically. I like that everywhere I go all our documents and files are synced. We were able to allow folder rights with ease and minimal training was necessary. Unfortunately due to our budget we recently downgraded to basic drop box and only store necessary files in cloud.
i have installed dropbox for many users and most of them like it very much.If you operate a non-profit organization or own a very large enterprise, Dropbox offers a discounted rate. so i managed to use it for many charitable organisation. If your business is one where collaboration on files of all kinds and secure storage of those files are an important part of your work, Dropbox may be the ideal solution.
I have configured this for various SMBs for those who cant hire a full time IT technician. it is very easy to manage and once you configure all folder structure , you dont need any support for it and it has v ery good downloading/uploading speed, thanks to amazon aws s3. but when it comes to medium or up companies, i would rather use s3 directly than dropbox.
Dropbox was our first paid service for cloud storage and online collaboration of files between employees, clients and the internal team. The prices were very reasonable for the service and storage offered. The interface is clean, easy to understand and easy enough for most of the computer illiterate to understand! (which is pretty important for most companies) #spiceworks
A few of our executives use Dropbox for Business and we haven't had a single issue with their service. We definitely appreciate the interface's ease of use and reliability. So far we've had no reason to go with any other cloud storage provider. #spiceworks
We use Dropbox for business for a few of our clients. They love the easy access to the files they need no matter where they are. They are loving the mobile features. Happy with the service.
I have configured dropbox for business in number of companies and it is one of the best cloud option for small or medium business. It has versioning as well so you can get previous file very easily. easy to deploy and very simple dashboard for administrative purpose.
Great on the mobile and for easily picking up files on the go. It was the first cloud storage we used and it was very reliable and easily accessible across different platforms. This was very helpful for us since we have many android, apple and a few windows users.
I have been using drop box on mobile devices for a few years now. It allows for document and picture backup from the devices and i am not worried about whipping devices clean. Its easy to use and allows for easy transfer of files between users and devices.
It is the first cloud service i ever used for business. I have to say it is the simplest solution i ever tested. cant really find any fault at all.I would recommend people to use Dropbox because it has a very simple user interface anyone can understand. But if you are mid level business i wouldn't try this as you might need more sophisticated system.#spiceworks
I am using dropbox for some time now and it gives me peace of mind as users wont complain very often as before. Administration also very easy for one shop IT person like me who dont do much desktop support work. It is very easy to create and manage users as and when necessary.#spiceworks.
i have used dropbox business before with atleast 3 clients and every users like its simplicity . Any user with basic computer knwledge can access and are able to use it so it is very popular with SMBs. I have configured it from scratch and it was one of the easiest project i had when it comes to file storage solution. #spiceworks
I use dropbox in my compnay very often. It wad implemtned by someone before me but i folloed the suit. While not the most expensive solution, Dropbox for Business is not cheap either as costs will soon mount up. The admin features should make the service ease to manage though. The service has a lot to offer organisations: file sharing, collaboration, backups and integration with third-party apps and services. It is a worthy competitor to the likes of Box, OneDrive and Google Drive. #spiceworks
We are using Dropbox for business for more than 3 years. Started with personal one and realized its potential so migrated everything to business version and I really like it a lot now. The users don’t need to learn a lot to use this service and I don’t have to guide any new users as it is pretty basic steps to follow. SO far, apart from few disruptions, I found it is very helpful and a useful solution. #spiceworks
Dropbox for business is the one of the best cloud file storage solution for small business as well as medium business. my favorite part is unlimited version history, so you can track changes and recover your work also NTFS file permission control. i have yet to find another provider to compete with dropbox for business even though i am not a big fan of personal version.#spiceworks.
Works well, easy to configure. A lot of users have already used so not a lot of retraining.
I love that its a low price to pay for excellent security. This is where they beat out some of the other cheaper options. Especially where security is a big concern.
When it comes to SMB storage and file sharing, nothing beats dropbox for business. They have a business model with a black and white pricing model and simple but powerful admin interface. Policies applies very fast across platform and so far, i had good customer service response. i have configured this for the small companies and never had issues so far.#spiceworks
It is an OK product. Nothing fancy about it apart from it is offers administrators and users the ability to integrate a number of third party tools. It offers single sign-on capabilities via partnerships with identity providers where we were using salesforce. had some issues with downtime and at the end we moved to AWS. #spiceworks
When ever i work as a consultant for SMBs and i see very baisc skilled users, i recommend dropbox for business all the time. Because it is very easy to use even for basic users and no admin overhead on applying policies.
But i don't really like it idea of leaving data with dropbox which resides on aws. i am more like, hey! why cant i use aws directly then ? but for SMBs it is better than using aws directly. #spiceworks
i have set this up for various charities and SMBs simply because it is too easy to manage and configure.Dropbox for Business is slowly fleshing out and becoming a viable option. I like the unlimited file restore capability. i had issues with it some times when doenloading large files to ipads. but apart from that, everything is ok. #spiceworks.
We've been using Dropbox for business for a couple years and love this service for our 8 users. It has allowed all of our employees to share files and access their files from any computer in the office or from home... easily. It also gives an extra benefit of an off-site file back-up. I think the reason I like it the most, however, is that we can still use the file folders and documents on our computers and we are not working with an online file folder or doc. That makes it WAY faster to open up a file, save it, etc. My only complaint is that we do have some quirky "conflicted copy" issues at times.
