XO communications provide nationwide support and installations and i have done this with them in more than 12 states. I also have international support from them to add more branches. We are using them in HQ mainly because they use redundant Enterprise SIP trunks to provide fail-over to the other so you can reroute traffic if needed. #spicysip
Working with XO has been a pleasure. Tech are knowledgeable. Issues get escalated and resolved quickly. Support a number of small/remote office that subscribe to the service. I look for XO for a MLSP if necessary when setting up clients in new areas.
We have supported a medium size client for some time. Previously who wasn't getting the service they deserve until switching to XO and we were very impressed. They pulled through and were very helpful and efficient in setting up the network needs for the client. Others on the team have called in for support and have had a positive experience all around.
XOC offers a wide variety of connectivity options and can be provided on a mix-and-match basis, meeting the needs of all locations regardless of size. There's no need to integrate various WAN solutions or manage multiple WAN suppliers. #spicywan
As an MSP I can say what a positive experience working with the team at XO. We have used a few different services offered and they have always delivered. I can count the number of service interruptions on one hand for all sites - resolution was quickly around the corner. Very minimal downtime and very professional.
XO communications MPLS services is a great one if you need a tailored service. with our complex requirements, they were more than happy to help. there is 24/7 support and can get easy access to IP tech support. But i is not very cost effective. #spicywan
good connection speed and great customer service from XO communications. once we had an issue but the tech support wasn't great at that time. over all compare to other services available, i recommend this
I used to work for a large MSP. We used XO on a large project of turning up over 100 fiber circuits. XO was spot on. I do not remember any issues, or problems, except an XO truck getting stolen. That is besides the point. I would recommend XO for any business. #spiceworks
Used this a few years ago at a previous employer. The services was great and the customer service was very personable. Their issue monitoring was always ahead of me. I would be getting phone calls from them before i knew there was a problem. Their sales team (no longer there) was excellent.
I am rating: XO customer service/technical services team
I continue to be impressed with the technicians I have talked to at XO. Fortunately, I have not needed to use them very often, but when I did, here is what has happened:
- Customer service was ready to listen and create a ticket
- They also escalated the issue upon request
- I got regular updates via email - not all of them are terribly insightful, but it does show that action was being taken
- The technicians were proactive, and call to either clarify the issue, update on status, confirm resolution
But what's really impressive, was that they offer their phone number and email address in case there are other issues or if the problem persists. Personal Accountability - nothing better when you are having issues and have no where else to go.
I especially want to recognize XO technician Reigh Schloffman for service above and beyond.
To be fair this review is solely based on the customer service, and not the product or technology. I am disappointed with the business tactics used by XO; we had closed an office in the DC area and called XO to cancel service. We were told that since we were so close to the end of our contract it would be better to ride out the contract rather than to pay the penalties. We agreed with them. During that conversation we were told that the account would be noted with the remarks that we would be canceling service. When we called back after riding out the contract we were told that the account had auto-renewed for another year since we failed to cancel 30 days prior to contract end date. There was no record of our conversation ever noted on our account and we were told that they would try to recall the recorded phone conversation but that it may be too late to retrieve . The customer service rep was rude and said I should've read the contract terms; completely disregarding any attempt I made to explain the phone conversation I had with a previous rep. We were finally escalated to a manager and after several weeks agreed on a settlement. At that moment I knew we would be dropping XO Communications at our remaining sites they serviced. They didn't care about preserving us a customer, they wanted the money for the auto contract extension, period. I disagree with their draconian business practices and will never recommend them to anyone. There are so many service providers out there and there is just no excuse for treating customers like that. Especially when customers have a choice..
XO is great! The support and techs are knowledgeable. The service and the network are strong as well. They send us notifications on circuits and do monitors too. Really happy with them! I always get into interesting long technical discussions with the field techs, they have a few telco vets on staff.
Rating: XO Sales
XO's sales force is among the least professional, unresponsive and uncaring in the telecom industry. Fortunately, we use AeroCom as our broker; unfortunately, whenever there is an issue, I have to get AeroCom involved because the XO sales team will push you off to a generic toll free customer service line and at no point do they offer to help, facilitate or get involved in any way.
I highly recommend that you use a broker if you are buying products from XO or suffer the consequences of a complacent sales force.
