Are you kicking the tires on Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS)<\/a><\/span> but your server environment includes more than just Virtual Machines (VM’s)? Do physical servers need to be included in your DRaaS solution?<\/p>\n

\"Cloud-DR-holds-various-benefits-for-companies\"<\/a>In November, I spent a lot of time trying to learn about several of the DRaaS providers that are listed on our website<\/a><\/span>. While doing my research, one of the things that stood out was that not every provider has the ability to include physical servers in a DRaaS solution.<\/p>\n

That being said, I thought it might be helpful for me to list the providers I found that could provide a DRaaS solution for both virtual and physical servers. Here is a list with a quick blurb on each:<\/p>\n

Evolve IP<\/a><\/strong><\/span>
\nWith seven flavors of DRaaS for every scenario, it’s no shocker that Evolve IP is on our list of “yes we can.” This is a great cloud computing provider with a full suite of products and service and who can also throw in a little hosted VoIP<\/a><\/span> down the road to compliment your cloud servers.<\/p>\n

Green Cloud Technologies<\/a><\/strong><\/span>
\nGreen Cloud is a pure, solid, cloud computing service provider and when I asked them for their “perfect fit” DRaaS client, their response is “a business that is looking to do DRaaS today but eventually will be moving their servers off-site and into the cloud, as they hit EoL.”<\/p>\n

Matrix<\/a><\/strong><\/span>
\nI’ve known the Matrix people for a couple years and they have never wavered on their target client. They are laser-focused on helping mid-size companies who have learned their lesson and know with certainty that they need top-of-the-line, white glove support.<\/p>\n

Navisite<\/a><\/strong><\/span>
\nSelling cloud computing for 15 years can teach you a few things and it’s taught Navisite to only use the top-of-the-line equipment and hire an extremely knowledgeable and experienced team. It also doesn’t hurt to be backed by the Time Warner pocketbook.<\/p>\n

NewCloud<\/a><\/strong><\/span>
\nAs a pure cloud computing service provider, NewCloud has nothing better to do that sit around and figure out how they can solve your server issues. They are good at building custom solutions and are a small enough company to bend rules, when it makes sense.<\/p>\n

QTS<\/a><\/strong><\/span>
\nMany of you know that QTS is one of the best colo providers in the US, with over a dozen data centers in the US and another dozen Internationally. What that means to you is that if you want to mix colo and DRaaS, you should have them at the top of your “need to quote” list.<\/p>\n

Rapidscale<\/a><\/strong><\/span>
\nRapidscale runs high-end, NetApp Storage<\/a><\/span> because they are committed to providing a bulletproof cloud solution for their clients, which includes DRaaS. DRaaS is one of their four\u00a0“core products”… which means making this service “shine” is a priority.<\/p>\n

ServerCentral<\/a><\/strong><\/span>
\nIf you like things written down, then you’re just like ServerCentral. They believe there are certain processes and procedures that need to be done with every DRaaS solution and therefore, they have written them down, show you what they’ve written and do it every time. They know that with DRaaS, clients need to feel confident that every “i” has been dotted and every “t” has been crossed.<\/p>\n

UnitedLayer<\/a><\/strong><\/span>
