Have I (the salesperson) personally purchased, <\/em><\/strong>implemented and managed a VoIP phone system with each of the hundreds of service providers available, so that I have an educated opinion on who is truly the best?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2. Do I truly understand<\/em><\/strong> what it’s like to be an IT Director, like Jim?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 3. \u00a0As a salesperson<\/em><\/strong> who SELLS<\/em> these VoIP service providers and doesn’t BUY<\/em> providers, is my perspective different?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 4. Is Jim’s friend’s<\/em><\/strong> opinion<\/em><\/strong> better than that of a salesperson?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 5. Can one person’s experience<\/em><\/strong> be an isolated experience and somewhat unreliable?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 6. Does Jim have the time<\/em><\/strong> to find and speak with a large number of his peers, working for similar companies, who have used these specific providers, so that he can get a bunch of intelligent and honest opinions?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Just buy on price? Throw a dart? Go with the advice from me or his friend and keep his fingers crossed?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n As the salesperson in this role, this situation happens to me all of the time and I feel bad that I cannot effectively help Jim. But this doesn’t just happen when I’m proposing VoIP<\/a><\/span>. It also happens when someone like Jim is shopping for MPLS<\/a><\/span>, Fiber Internet<\/a><\/span>, Public Cloud<\/a><\/span>, DR<\/a><\/span>, Colo<\/a><\/span>… and every other telecom and cloud service we sell, from hundreds of service providers.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It happens so much that our team at AeroCom put our heads together and found a solution.
