Have you noticed that opening up a discussion about moving one thing to the cloud is now like opening a can of worms?\u00a0 Doesn\u2019t it sometimes feel like the stars have to be aligned and every contract with every service provider, every piece of hardware and every user license needs to be expiring at the same time?\u00a0 How the *#$% is that ever going to work!?!<\/p>\n<p>Not to fear my IT friends\u2026at least a little.\u00a0 I am going to tell you one way to help move to the cloud without convoluting your whole technology landscape.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Here is an example:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>For instance, what if you\u2019re a multi-location company that\u2019s phone system is dying and you want to go with a <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/our-products\/cloud\/communications-and-collaboration\/cloud-phone-system\/\" target=\"_blank\">hosted VoIP<\/a><\/span> phone system with guaranteed call quality &#8211; this means the service provider has to drop a circuit at every site.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-8194 size-medium alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/dead-end-300x225.jpg\" rel='magnific' alt=\"dead end\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/dead-end-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/dead-end-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/dead-end-250x187.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/dead-end-533x400.jpg 533w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2026.oh yeah, your <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/our-products\/access\/site-to-site\/mpls\/\" target=\"_blank\">MPLS<\/a><\/span> contract doesn\u2019t come up for renewal for another 2 years.<\/p>\n<p><em>Crap.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Insert the same scenario as above and swap Hosted VoIP with <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/our-products\/cloud\/servers-desktop-infrastructure\/desktop-as-a-service\/\" target=\"_blank\">Desktop as a Service (DaaS)<\/a><\/span>, and you want to have complete control of latency to all of your main sites, each of which has 20+ users.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Crap \u2026crap!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>How can you get around this?
