We hear a lot about\u00a0cloud but one thing that is often\u00a0overlooked\u00a0in that discussion is the strain\u00a0our\u00a0new ground-breaking user devices\u00a0(i.e. tablets, smart phones, etc.), are heaping\u00a0on mid-size companies’ IT spending.<\/p>\n

In 2007, a typical business user had an average of\u00a01 device for accessing company applications<\/strong><\/span><\/a>. In 2013, that number has soared to an average of 3 and sometimes as high as 5 (desktop, smart-phone, tablet, laptop, home computer). That means 5x the work for IT departments, in regards to deployment and support for these applications and even worse, sometimes 5x the software licensing.<\/p>\n

\"Let<\/a>What does this mean? It means that within the last 5 years,\u00a0technology advancement is pushing companies into a situation where they almost have no choice but to use service-based cloud application providers (IaaS, CaaS, SaaS, ITaaS)<\/strong>, for some of their applications rather than fronting the ever expanding bill for trying to deploy applications in-house. Security is no longer an issue. Cloud security is now\u00a0here and it’s commonplace and it’s far better than any single company\u00a0could ever duplicate in-house.<\/p>\n

In today’s hyper-competitive marketplace, companies need every resource available to spend on savvy strategy and flexibility. Just ask Blackberry and Blockbuster how quickly things can change and how important it is to be creative and flexible. When outsourcing to the cloud makes your company more nimble, more secure, allows your IT staff to\u00a0“create” rather than “fix,”\u00a0and costs you less, there is no choice.<\/p>\n[php snippet=8]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
