Send me an email or give me a call at 714.593.0011. I will introduce you to my team at Fusion Connect, which is the best team they have for sales, engineering, and support. I will oversee the demo, oversee the quoting process, and make sure you get significantly better pricing than calling them on your own. I can also do this for competitors like RingCentral, Zoom Phone, or Cisco WebEx Calling if you want to compare options side by side. It will not cost your company anything. Since then they have quickly risen to a top market share leader in that space, which is saying a lot considering there are over 100 Teams Phone Operator Connect vendors out there.

What Fusion Connect Does Well Beyond Support

Fusion Connect’s biggest differentiator is their support, and I will get into exactly what I mean by that. But before I do, I do not want to skip over the fact that they have a solid foundation to support in the first place.

Their uptime is strong and customers rarely complain about call quality issues. They offer all of the bolt-ons an Operator Connect vendor needs to fill Teams Phone System’s feature gaps, including analog solutions for fax machines and overhead paging, SMS and MMS, contact center bolt-ons, analytics, and compliance call recording. And their pricing is genuinely competitive.

At least 20 other Teams Phone Operator Connect vendors can claim similar feature sets, similar uptime, and similar pricing. So why does Fusion Connect keep winning business with my customers? Support.

Real Examples From My Customers

I want to give you two real examples from my own customer base rather than just tell you support matters.

The first customer signed up with Fusion Connect and shortly after implementation started noticing call routing glitches. Fusion Connect support worked on it for about a week, genuinely stumped, before finally tracing the problem to a Microsoft server issue causing routing problems on their end. Most Operator Connect vendors would not have the support depth to troubleshoot a problem down to the Microsoft server level. Fusion Connect did.

The second example is a customer I recently signed up with Fusion Connect. Shortly after implementation, I checked in like I always do, and this customer told me the cutover was a dream and one of the best vendor installations they had ever experienced with zero issues. That kind of feedback is genuinely rare in business telecommunications.

The Numbers Behind Fusion Connect’s Support

Fusion Connect has a net promoter score of plus 47, which is a very high score for this industry. Their average time to answer on a customer service call is 58 seconds. And they maintain a 94 percent customer satisfaction rating, which comes out to 4.8 out of 5. Compare that to going through Microsoft directly for Teams Phone support, and the difference is significant.

Fusion Connect Is a Tier One Microsoft CSP

One of my favorite things about Fusion Connect is that they are a tier one Microsoft Cloud Solutions Provider, or CSP. This matters because it allows them to sell you the Teams Phone Standard add-on license alongside your Operator Connect calling plan. You can keep your existing Microsoft 365 licensing exactly as it is and just purchase Teams Phone Standard through Fusion Connect, or purchase everything through them if you prefer.

This matters because it puts your entire phone system under one vendor umbrella, which eliminates finger pointing. If you run into a routing issue on a call queue two years after implementation, Fusion Connect can look at both the software configuration and the dial tone calling plan to diagnose it. A vendor that only sells you the calling plan can only look at the dial tone side. For anything on the software configuration side, you would have to go to your CSP separately.

One Hundred Percent US Based Support

Fusion Connect now runs 100 percent US based support, and that was not always the case. A couple of years ago they moved some after hours support overseas and their net promoter score and customer satisfaction ratings both dropped. About 18 months ago they switched everything back to fully US based support and their scores recovered. Finding a cloud telecommunications provider with 100 percent US based support today is genuinely rare, since most vendors push after hours support overseas.

Affordable Professionally Managed Implementation

A lot of Operator Connect vendors charge $10,000 to $30,000 for professionally managed implementation on a mid to large size company. Fusion Connect charges a fraction of that, typically a few thousand dollars, and that cost covers all subsequent phased implementations under the same term agreement at no additional charge. If your company is rolling Teams Phone System out across 50 sites in phases over a three year term, Fusion Connect includes professional implementation support for every phase at that same one time cost.

The Customer Support Portal

Fusion Connect also has a strong customer support portal. It is not quite as good as New Wave’s iPilot, which I consider the best in the industry, but it is still a significant step up from managing everything inside the Microsoft admin portal. One advantage Fusion Connect’s portal has over New Wave’s is that it lets you manage multiple service categories in one place, including ISP services, SASE and SD-WAN, and POTS replacement, not just Teams Phone.

The dashboard shows action items, site status and alarms, pending orders, and active or escalated tickets at a glance. It includes built in how-to content, a visible support phone number, and direct contact information for your customer experience manager, along with a chat option, all US based. Reporting tools let you sort enhanced call detail reports in multiple ways, which is useful for management visibility into Teams call activity, which can otherwise be confusing to track.

The portal also lets you manage billing and pay invoices directly, and gives you a single dashboard tile showing every service Fusion Connect provides, including internet circuits, managed network and security services like SD-WAN and SASE, unified communications like Teams Phone Operator Connect, Microsoft 365 services, managed WiFi, and phone line services like POTS replacement and SIP trunking.

Drilling into the unified communications tile, you can manage phone numbers by site, and everything syncs with the Microsoft admin portal in real time. One standout feature is that the portal shows both active and reserved phone numbers side by side, something the Microsoft admin portal does not display. You can assign, activate, or deactivate numbers directly from this view.

Fusion Connect’s Service Guarantees

Fusion Connect backs their support claims with real guarantees. You can cancel service without penalty if you are not satisfied. They guarantee your installation date or credit your company one month of your monthly recurring cost if they miss it. And they guarantee 100 percent uptime of their infrastructure.

When Is Fusion Connect the Right Fit?

Fusion Connect performs well across most business scenarios, so it is genuinely hard to think of a situation where they would not be worth evaluating. That said, here are three scenarios where they are an especially strong fit.

First, if your medium to large size company currently has an E1 or E3 Microsoft 365 license and will need to add the Teams Phone Standard add-on, Fusion Connect’s CSP status lets you get the add-on license and the calling plan under one vendor.

Second, if your company needs a professionally managed implementation, especially a phased rollout across many sites over a year or more, Fusion Connect has a real cost and support advantage over most competitors.

Third, Fusion Connect is an unusually strong fit if your company wants vendor consolidation. If you have dozens or hundreds of sites that also need POTS replacement, SD-WAN, firewall as a service, managed WiFi, or ISP services, Fusion Connect can bundle all of that under one vendor, one portal, and one support team.

When Might Fusion Connect Not Be the Right Fit?

Fusion Connect is not the perfect fit for every company. I have had customers compare Fusion Connect against competitors and choose a different vendor because a specific feature or approach mattered more to their particular requirements. That is normal, and it usually comes down to the details of what your company specifically needs.

Want a Demo and Quote on Fusion Connect?

If your company has 100 or more employees and wants to look at Fusion Connect or their competitors, send me an email or give me a call at 714.593.0011. I will get you better pricing than calling any of these providers directly, introduce you to the best team at Fusion Connect, get you a great demo with the right engineers, and oversee the entire quoting process.
