Is this really necessary? Do you need to find the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/GU9n8LQrW-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cloud phone system vendor<\/a> that is headquartered or has a location close to your office? I&#8217;m Mike Smith. I&#8217;m the president of Aerocom. Let&#8217;s put our heads together on this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>My recommendations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>But first, if you work for a mid-sized company and you&#8217;d like my recommendations for the best cloud phone system vendors, your company should be quoting. Especially if you&#8217;re midsize or a large company with, I&#8217;d say, let&#8217;s say, like 50 or more phone system users. that&#8217;s my sweet spot. Leave me a comment down below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Should you shop for vendors nearby?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Geography should not be a consideration in terms of a truck roll. You shouldn&#8217;t be thinking in terms of, Hey, should we have a company that&#8217;s close by that can install our phone system locally? Because, you know, and I don&#8217;t blame you for thinking that because that&#8217;s the way phone systems have always been installed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/the-biggest-differences-between-cloud-and-on-prem-phone-systems-for-medium-large-size-businesses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">on prem phone systems<\/a> here. Vendor would come out and they&#8217;d be on site for two or three days installing the phone system, training everybody on it. That was just the normal way of doing it, but not any more. So you don&#8217;t have to worry about a vendor that&#8217;s close by you to install your phone system. All the handsets themselves, they come preconfigured, they&#8217;re just plug and play. It&#8217;s very simple. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Mwdmn3okyBY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Everything is programed remotely<\/a>. You don&#8217;t have to worry about anybody on site installing and training everybody. That&#8217;s not something you have to worry about anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wp-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Should our Business\u2019 Cloud Phone System Provider be in close proximity?\" class=\"wp-image-11171\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wp-1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wp-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wp-1-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wp-1-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wp-1-250x141.jpg 250w, https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wp-1-600x338.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/wp-1.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4>Points of Presence (POPs)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s really a thing of the past, however, especially if you&#8217;re a global company, making sure that your company has selects a cloud phone system vendor that has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techtarget.com\/searchnetworking\/definition\/point-of-presence-POP#:~:text=A%20point%2Dof%2Dpresence%20(,establish%20connections%20to%20the%20internet.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">points of presence or pops<\/a> or central offices that are somewhat near all of your company&#8217;s locations is important. And the reason why is because those are the aggregation areas where all of your calls are going to hit the public switch telephone network. So your calls are going to have to travel the public Internet to those locations, to those pops before they go out over the public switch telephone network. So if you think about it, if you have a location in Australia in the cloud phone system company, you&#8217;re using only has a point of presence in the United States. Every time someone uses the phone in Australia, they&#8217;re having to go all the way back to the United States to go out on the public switch telephone network. So because of that long distance, what you&#8217;re going to get is you&#8217;re going to get more latency, more packet loss and more jitter on those phone calls, which is going to cause <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerocominc.com\/info\/why-are-large-businesses-moving-to-cloud-phone-systems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">call quality issues<\/a>. So that&#8217;s the kind of geography that you need to worry about, is where the service providers points of presence in relation to where our users are at, not really worrying about where their locations are, where they have people to deploy to your site because you&#8217;re not going to need them to deploy people to your site ever. And the things that you&#8217;ll need at your site might be like an overhead paging system, things like that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Still confused? So based on your company&#8217;s requirements, I can tell you the best three or four companies your company should be quoting, I can introduce you to the best salespeople at those vendors that you should be working with. And I can oversee the quoting process to make sure your company gets the best pricing on the vendor of your choice. There&#8217;s definitely also some bad vendors out there that you should not be quoting, and I can give you some insight into that as well. So you don&#8217;t get yourself into a nightmare signing up with a bad vendor that&#8217;s got a really bad reputation, but you just didn&#8217;t know about it and the install goes bad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4>Make sure to subscribe, comment, and like the video!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Everybody&#8217;s pointing.
