The things you want to consider are, does your Hosted VoIP provider, number one, allow for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.office.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft Office 365<\/a> integration? So, is that even possible? Some are yes, some are no.<\/p>\n<p>The second thing you want to think about is what type of integration with Skype or Teams do you want? Are Your users using Skype and Teams a ton right now and that&#8217;s all you want to use? You don&#8217;t even want to use the Hosted VoIP service provider\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Softphone\" target=\"_blank\">softphone<\/a> application. You only want to use Skype or Teams. If that&#8217;s the case, you&#8217;re going to want to find a Hosted VoIP provider who will allow you to use Skype only and not their softphone. I know the integration is never perfect. In an ideal world, you&#8217;d be able to use Teams and get all the features, functionality that you could from your Hosted VoIP service provider and have the best of both worlds, but it&#8217;s a little dicey when it comes to that integration between Teams and your Hosted VoIP service provider.<\/p>\n<p>No matter what, if you use Teams or Skype for Business, you&#8217;re going to lose some of the functionality of your Hosted VoIP service provider platform and their softphone. Their softphone can do a few things that Teams and Skype for Business won&#8217;t be able to do, and vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>If you use your Hosted VoIP service provider\u2019s softphone application, there&#8217;s going to be a few things that they can do that Teams or Skype for Business can. So either way, there&#8217;s no perfect scenario, so you just have to decide what scenario is good for your company and then find a Hosted VoIP service provider that fits that.<\/p>\n<p>I hope that helps a little bit.
