We have been using Mitel for 4 years now and I have to tell you we have no issues at all. We have 2 locations with a total of 70 users. I had previously stayed away from VOIP because everyone I spoke with told me of quality issues. However, this has been the best investment we have made at this company. We have so many features of this system that we use and none of it was available with our old setup. It did take me about a month to get proficient at adding, changing, etc. But that is just the learning curve of the new software. Based on our experience, I would certainly recommend Mitel to my fellow IT folks.

PRO: We have been using Mitel Connect Cloud (previously ShoreTel Connect Cloud) for about 4 years now, with aprx 100 users at 4 separate office locations and about 20 of those users being frequently mobile. We previously had separate phone systems with trunks connecting them costing us a ton from our ISP; switching to Mitel has saved a ton of money by eliminating those private tunnel costs. You can simply plug the phone into any ethernet port and voila. Connect is feature rich, with desktop client software, mobile device software (for receiving calls on the go), and many more. You can customize call flow yourself, or contact tech support and they can change for you. There are many reports you can generate and again, if you can't find what you're looking for, support can almost always generate the report for you.
CON: The one complaint I have, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that the desktop client almost always requires admin credentials for an update, as it uninstalls the old program and installs the new version. This process can be annoying when having to update 100 computers. Other than that, it's been great.

I've been administering a Mitel VoIP system for my company for about 2 years and have had a very frustrating experience. I can't say much for competitive pricing or initial layout as it was set up before my time but the actual use of Mitel VoIP applications for user and phone management, call recording, call routing and agent groups, etc is a pain point to keep things up and running. We are constantly on the phone with Mitel support for things like call static, database sync issues, etc. The phones themselves are nice and the ring or agent skill groups do have the ability to be split up into several parts which is nice, but I am wondering if services like Cisco or Genesis could do better.

Our overall experience from initial quote process to implementation was exceptional! We’ve been with numerous hosted VOIP providers and we’re extremely happy with Mitel Cloud. They provide a feature rich experience with online meetings and mobile apps to provide exceptional connectivity. We were extremely unhappy with our previous vendor because the quality of service wasn’t there, and their support staff was lackluster. With Mitel, support is exceptional! They will either take care of it for you or TEACH you how to make the changes yourself. You have full control of your system. The web interface is intuitive and user-friendly. The best feature for us was the ability to record holiday greetings, then download them to reuse in the future. The initial quote process was excellent, the transmission of documents was more than I expected, and Mitel is extremely well organized with the boarding process. The planning meeting was well thought out by their implementation team and Cody Cowser had thought of everything. He walked me through the process and options and we made informed decisions along the way. Smooth transition, pricing is highly competitive and it was the right solution for me and my business. This solution will be portable which is perfect inasmuch as I will be moving before the end of the year. I highly recommend Mitel as your VoIP solution provider. #spicysip

i am using mitel voip daily at the office, works great, maybe a more fluid and updated GUI would be cool for the manager. very reliable, never had issues with the system in years.I would recommend to anyone looking into this system that they chose and reliable, responsive and, most importantly, competent vendor. This system takes a talented Mitel Certified Tech to layout the schema of a new system.

The Mitel mivoice is a Great product. It works very well. Very flexible in the way they can be used in almost any environment.you can install the Mitel "controller" software on a VMware or Hyper-V server or on a dedicated industry standard server (ISS) - the choice is entirely up to you.

Great platform. All in one so there is less hardware than older Inter-tel systems. Just upgraded our old NEC system to Mitel 3300 the upgrade was one of the smoothest I have ever had. From the hardware side of things, we haven't had really any problems with the 3300 system. System seems solid took off a star for the web interface seems clunky, and not user friendly but when I learn more may be better.
